The Meditative Experience explores the cognitive architecture for the self to climb from earth’s existence into deeper states
of consciousness. Step into the core of presence into a virtual experience of an absolute space through the divine power
of chakra energy that embodies imaginary movements of hues to the unknown and divine world.
This project aims to create a mediation between technology and mindfulness, people can now meditate through technology and are becoming more aware of the the importance of meditation. This could make it easier for people to meditate wherever they are and how this can be easily accessible through apps, videos or even implemented in certain areas where there would be "meditative rooms" where people can forget about the world and focus on calmness. It also shows how technology can be a useful method to guide meditative and spiritual practices for people to be able to access presence,relaxation , and zen in every day life.
The composition of the installation is inspired by a Sufi philosopher, Ibn Arabi in his book, “Insha' Al-Dawa'ir”, he described the theory of the “circle of being “ that displays the movement of the self from the materialistic world into the liberated and abstract world through the concept of the circle. To reach the essence and core of presence, the self moves from the central point “materialistic world” into an unlimited space of multidimensional linear perspectives, creating a continuous circle beyond the circumference “absolute world”. As the self enters into deeper states of consciousness, color vision gradually expands until the self reaches a clear vision.
